The x-intercept of a graph occurs where the graph passes through the x-axis. The y-intercept occurs where the graph passes through the y-axis.

App 1 - X and Y Intercepts: In this app, a line segment can be manipulated to show the x & y intercepts.
Teaching Tip: Both the endpoints of the line segment and the intercepts will display their coordinates when hovered over with the cursor. By default, only intercepts within the line segment are shown. Click "show projected intercepts" to see intercepts that lie outside the line segment.
